Why are people online so dumb, ignorant, and say untruthful things to make u mad? 10 points thx?
I don’t know what it is, but it seems like whenever I play games online people purposely try to say things to get you mad. Do ppl not have that much time in their hands or stuff to do with their life? Like seriously I was playing texas hold em online and I went all-in with a hand because I had a decent hand pair of 10’s and I got sick and tired of them taking so long. It takes 1 hour to finish a match. Then some guy folds and types "too greedy." I mean just cuz u dont want to call doesn’t mean u have the right to call someone greedy, when I’m not and especially when I’m just frustrated.

So I wrote "you guys are greedy because ur the ones keep folding each hand I’m just going all in cuz I don’t care it’s not even like it’s real money and u guys r trying to act like it is.. so all u guys r greedy." How can u not effin be greedy in a poker game isn’t the purpose of the game to take everyone’s money and win the game?
First of all why it bothers me is why people feel like they can say whatever and get away with it. And call the most innocent and humble human being things they’re not regardless whatever it is.

Maybe this bothers me, because first I’ve lived such a hard life never been around money I’m a Christian guy and my parents raised me in a hard way they were never rich just church people and always about giving. So I always grew around that even when my parents aren’t rich but they still seem like the most happy ppl ever. Right now they’re a bit struggling right now bc my parents are a ministry type of people and they don’t even get any income. So growing up around that I always learned to be humble and appreciative of what I have. I’ve been raised that way and just humble and appreciate for living. I’ve never been rich and hate the thought of people think moeny is everything cuz its not. That’s why it hurts me when ppl say things online that aren’t true especially when I ‘m just a humble guy whose lived a hard life.
I hate money so much with passion that it sickens me that people live this life based on riches and wealth and think money buys happiness. I don’t even have any money cuz all I do is too busy focusing in school..I dont even work right now… and I hate greediness and would rather die and help ppl than have all the money in the world. Cuz money means nothing to me and I’ve never been greedy and never plan to be my whole life…. I HATE MONEY!!!!!!!!
Anyways I just feel like I had to left that off my chest…
I don’t know why these days every little damn thing ppl says bothers me but it seems like every time people have the need to say some little comment just to piss u off when it’s not even true. It’ll be one thing after another each day… :sigh::

It feels like the devil knows every little thing to say to bother me..and is working in people to give me a hard time… Sometimes I feel like I don’t wanna try anymore in life…. when I see how dirty this world is. ppl say things one after another and each day I face a dilemna in my life that puts me down…. I need help building a pendulum or another kind of time-keeping device?
Alright so for a school project, I need to build a time-keeping device acurate to .1 of a second. I was just planning on building a pendulum and using my eyes to count/guesstimate the time elapsed based on the number of swings. Does anyone have any better ideas? If not, can someone guide me through the process of building a pendulum? I was just planning on getting some scrap wood and building a hangman style contraption to which I would attach some string with a weight at the bottom of it and using trial and error to get it to swing and have the duration of the swing last a second by using a stopwatch to time it…any better suggestions?

Need more details. How long a time interval do you have to measure? How do you get the start-stop signal?

Anything you do by hand will never hit 0.1 second accuracy, as your nervous system takes that amount of time to react.

Pendulum has a typical period of 1 second. How do you plan on getting 0.1 second out of that. Each quarter swing is 0.25 sec, ie, peak to center or center to peak. But the movement between peak and center is non linear with the speed of the pendulum changing a lot.

I guess you could set up a pendulum with a period of 0.5 second, so each 1/4 swing would be 0.12 second.

in the wikipedia article on Pendulum (link below) you will find the formula for a pendulum period is
T ~= 2 * pi * sqrt(L / g) (T is time, L is length, and g is acceleration due to gravity 9.8 m/sec^2) for small amplitude swings, and is not dependent upon the weight you are using. it should be easy to time if the swings are longer than 1/2 second. if they swings are too quick, to increase the period, increase the string length (L) in the formula.

Forget that idea, too inaccurate, in fact forget any form of pendulum device, too complicated as you need some form of mechanism to keep the pendulum swinging on it’s own and a mechanical way to count the swings. Best way is to do it like the ancients use to do it by using water or sand dropping through a small regulating hole. I would use water and do it like this:

1) Make the clock. Fill a tank with water, say a good few gallons. At the bottom of the tank make a small hole and put a valve on it so you can open and close the hole to start and stop the water quickly. Take another container and place underneath the hole/valve on top of a good set of digital scales ( not mechanical scales, too inaccurate ).

2) Calibrate the clock. Check the scales and see what it reads with the weight of the container on top. This will be your zero point. Open the valve and time with a stop watch how long it takes to fill the container. Check the scales again and from this reading take away the reading that you had with just the container. This will give you the weight of the water on it’s own. Divide the weight of water by the time in seconds it took to collect it. This will give you the amount of water flowed per second. As an example, suppose it took 5 seconds to fill a container with 2 Kgs ( 2 litres ) of water. Divide the 2 Kgs by 5 seconds and you have 0.4Kg ( 400 grams ) of water for 1 second of time. You might want to repeat this calibration process a few times so that you get a good average and more accurate calibration time.

3) Time something. You time something by opening and shutting the valve which results in a some water collected. You work out the weight of water collected and find it weighs 1.22Kgs. You know from your calibration that 0.4Kgs = 1 second of time.To find how many seconds equals 1.22Kgs of water, divide 1.22 by 0.4 = 3.05 seconds. If your scales can read better than 20 grams in accuracy ( which any good digital scale should easily be able to do ), then you have a water clock that is accurate to 1/20th or 0.05 of a second..! Remember to fill your tank up to the same level every time you do a timing, this will help ensure the clock keeps accurate time otherwise the lower the water level the slower the water will exit the valve.

4) Jazz up your water clock with some arty painting and/or lights.

Make a clock this way and I’ll be very surprised if you don’t get top marks for inventiveness, scientific input, creativity and of course accuracy…! ;o)

I have a bet, need to dress up completely as a woman for a costume party, can you help me choose stuff?
I was out having dinner with a group of friends last night, and all night the women were complaining about how it is much harder for women to look good than men, they are expected to wear less comfortable clothes that are often more revealing, high heels that make their feet sore, spend more time doing hair and cosmetics, and so on. I said they should stop moaning because they liked it all really and it is not as hard to wear as they say it is. So after a few drinks they made me this bet. In 2 weeks one of them is having a 30th birthday costume party, and the theme for the costumes is "come as you aren’t" so you have to dress as something that you’re not. To win the bet I have to dress as a woman, completely in women’s clothes, so I can find out for myself how "difficult" it really is for women! I must stay completely in "costume" all night if I am to win.

Well it sounds a bit crazy but I like a good laugh so I have decided to do it, especially as they think I won’t be brave enough, and I have decided to go totally all out for it and shock them all! belive it or not thrift shops and places like good will are very good for costume shopping. especially for old time type things. my school has a lot of costumes for plays that have come from good will, and they have a variety of things including hats so yea check out your local goodwill and you might find something, and they’re extremely cheap so thats always good too.

Good question!
I think it was just a story, to illustrate a point: if you as a human does nothing, has no "raison d’etre" so to speak, you too will be "cursed" and "whither away".
The only thing the fig tree was supposed to do was bear fruit, and it didn’t, so it served no purpose to Life.
Don’t take the bible too literally! It contains lots of simple parables which serve as guides for getting through Life with as little scarring as possible. You don’t even have to be religious to like the wisdoms in the bible — ancient nuggets of truth handed on from long before the age of Jesus Christ.

This season, I put aside $180 so I could purchase the NBA league Pass particularly to watch Allen Iverson games. No offense intended, I know a lot of great players are in the league that worth watching, but I get more gratification and entertainment from watching Allen Iverson games.

Before purchasing the NBA LP ( Leauge Pass) with my hard earned money ( yes, hard earned money because I only get 7 dollars an hour for my pay), I checked to see if Allen Iverson was going to be a starter or a reserve player… I was told many times that Allen Iverson would be a starter. If I had known that the Coach for Memphis Grizzles Team was going to use Allen Iverson as a reserve player, I would have used my $180 to get myself a new Ipod Touch for Christmas.

Sorry, Allen Iverson is not a reserve player. Vince Carter, Jeason Kidd and and Mike Conley himself is not as talented as Allen Iverson, so why are these folks starting over a player like Allen Iverson?

So, it seems like those tough hours I worked hard for went down the drain, as I am no longer interested in watching the Grizzles games, simply because I hate to see a player like Allen Iverson coming off the bench. Yes, the bench – why he is coming off the bench?

Coach said Allen Iverson didn’t spend enough time in training camp to get used to the players on the Grizzles team. So no way he is starting Allen Iverson. Is that a valid reason to not start Allen Iverson? Mike Conley has been with the Team throughout training champ and preseasons, yet Allen Iverson, who hasn’t been with the Team, played much better than him in both games VS the Kings and the Warriors with a harmstring.

I am supposed to visit the Grizzles game sometime this year, but no longer will. If I am going, i would be going to watch Allen Iverson playing on th court, not sitting on the bench.

Why is Allen Iverson becoming off the bench? What is your opinion on this topic?

Iverson pretty much shot the remainder of his career into the toilet with the fiasco in Detroit last season. He quit on the team. So what if he was told he was going to start? They tried it for a while, and it didn’t work. It’s time for the Answer to live up to that moniker. If he would embrace a reserve role (a la Manu Ginobili because the best 6th Men are guys who are good enough to start, but give you something special off the bench), he could turn out to be the best thing that could happen to some team out there.

Most teams are already set with who they want, and they don’t want to blow up chemistry and 2-3 years worth of planning to make Iverson "the guy." He has the ability to make plays as well as put the ball in the hole. If he can stop being a cancer, Contenders might look to trade for him at the Deadline or even sign him this summer. He has to be willing to be a complimentary player though.

i honestly think @ this point n allen iverson career he should could of the bench!!!simply cause he is strictly a scorer now n the grizzles have 2 many mouths 2 feed on tht startin line up as it is…mayo gay & randolph all average 20 pts a game n need 15 to 20 shots 2 stay satisfied…no disrespect to A.I. cause he is 1 of the best scores off all-time but his game has been the same since his rookie year…he still has a all about him attuide meaning he’s not a faciltator like kobe bryant lebron james or vince carter…4 the coach of the grizz 2 start him is like thrown ya haymaker n the 1st round cause the grizz have no scores off the bench anyway…if A.I. comes wit an attuide sayn im tryn 2 get the 6th man of the year award it will b very difficult 2 beat them cause they have a true scorer tht can get 30 off the bench on anynight…if u look @ all the good teams n the nba they have a sixth man that would start on any other team…ex: lamar odom, rasheed wallace & jamal crawford…no offense 2 a.i. or his fans cause he is a beast n will go 2 the hall of fame but he jst not wht he used 2 b…the league has changed but his game hasnt…
